An english garden wedding in the heart of melbourne CBD

We absolutely love it when couples pick the most beautiful spaces for their wedding. It’s a beautiful canvas for us to play with but we also think that the venue of a wedding can play a significant role in creating a memorable experience. For those who love the outdoors and the charm of an English garden, having a wedding in the city inspired by an English garden could be the perfect choice.

Ti & Charlie chose the stunning Melbourne Town Hall for the ceremony. With it’s majestic columns, it gives a sense of privacy and exclusivity amongst the hustle and bustle of Melbourne.

transforming the space

Florals are the key elements to creating an English garden inspired wedding and with this using the right balance of florals and foliage and other natural elements to create a whimsical and romantic ambience. Opting for soft neutral colors like pinks, sage greens and ivory, which are reminiscent of an English garden. Poppy Culture created the most beautiful islands of florals for the aisle, lining up the space and drawing your eye to the altar masterpiece.

To create a cozy and intimate atmosphere, grey boucle chairs were chosen for immediate family while grey long ottomans were lined up for the rest of the guests. This created a really cozy space for the post ceremony drinks that allowed guests to freely mingle and enjoy the view of Melbourne CBD.

To top it off, we had the talented Tobi Tobi serenading heavenly tunes throughout the ceremony.

What a great way to celebrate Ti & Charlie’s I do’s. Congratulations Ti & Charlie!
