A MODERN ART DECO-INSPIRED WEDDING

We’ve been blessed to work with amazing couples throughout the years and Kimlynn & Vic is definitely one of them. Their wedding reminds me why I love what I do.

I will forever be grateful to them both for trusting my vision - allowing me to create a unique immersive experience to tell their story through styling.

“Eliska not only takes your vision to another level but also executes it perfectly! We really appreciated how much the team listened and integrated all of our ideas. My husband and I are very particular and detail-oriented and they executed it all so well. They also have a real personal touch, and you feel like friends with thoughout the journey.”

A MODERN TAKE ON GATSBY

When I first spoke to Kimlynn and Vic , they have booked Metropolis Events for their venue. They loved the grandness of the space and wanted to enhance the elements that are already there. They’ve envisioned a wedding that radiated elegance, opulence and a day that would give their guests an immersive experience.. The latter, obviously, got us really excited!

With a touch of inspiration from Great Gatsby, we brought in a palette of lilacs and deep purples to incorporate with the black elements in the space. The combination of deep purples and black can evoke a sense of drama, opulence, and sophistication.

AN IMMERSIVE WELCOME PARTY

Kimlynn and Vic started off their reception by welcoming guests with a feast that featured South African food which is part of Kimlynn’s heritage. This was held at the cocktail are at Metropolis Events.

To create a dramatic scene, guests were welcomed to their seats with the sound of Evangeline’s violin performance in the background and a fog smoke billowing under the curtain that divided the cocktail area and the dining hall. This was an entrance that we will never forget.

Making for an opulent aesthetic, the tables were filled with lush blooms of orchids, peonies and roses to name a few, black dinner candles lined marble table tops and custom gold chandeliers hung from above the dance floor framing the Melbourne cityscape.

Working closely with the team from Technical Events, an immersive lighting was featured throughout the night to work hand in hand with the production of the night.

This night was definitely one for the books!
